Editorial policy

The ethical principles of the scientific journal Studia Universitatis Moldaviae are based on the policies of COPE (Best Practice Guidelines on Research Integrity and Publishing Ethics) and Elsevier (Publishing Ethics).

  Moldova State University, as the founder of Studia Universitatis Moldaviae, assumes responsibility for reflecting the highest quality of ethical principles and is committed to respecting and upholding standards of ethical conduct at all stages of the journal’s editing process.

Editorial Policy:

  • Readers can study, download and / or print articles with open access and free of charge.
  • Articles are licensed under the terms of theCreative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) License, which allows unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction, provided the work is properly cited.
  • Plagiarism prevention: The scientific journal Studia Universitatis Moldaviaeuses the anti-plagiarism check system to detect cases of overlap and similar text in the articles received. The system generates a similarity report, highlighting the percentage overlap between the uploaded article and the published material. Any examples of overlapping content are further analyzed by experts in the field to decide whether to allow the publication of the material, depending on the similarity rate and the type of “plagiarism”.
  • Received articles containing plagiarized text are rejected.
  • The responsibility for the content published in the journal Studia Universitatis Moldaviae, including any opinions, ideas expressed, lies exclusively with the author(s).

 

 

Author’s rights and responsibilities:

The author may submit for publication in the journal original scientific material that complies with the editorial requirements and ethical principles.

The author will have decision-making transparency from the publisher, will be informed at all stages of working with the article and about the decision of the reviewers and editors.

Authors retain the copyright on unrestricted articles and grant MSU the right to first publication.

The author assumes full responsibility for the articles submitted for publication in the scientific journal Studia Universitatis Moldaviae.

 

 

Editor’s rights and responsibilities:

The editor is responsible for organizing the entire process of publishing articles that meet all the requirements of the journal.

The editorial office will ensure the reception, review, verification through the anti-plagiarism system, drafting, layout and preparation for printing of approved scientific articles.

The editorial secretary will communicate with the author at all stages of working with the article in order to improve its quality and will obtain the author’s confirmation of any changes made to the article prior to publication.

The publisher will reject works that do not comply with the rules of the editorial policy of Scientific Ethics. If the author improves his rejected article, it may be published in a later issue of the journal.

Only articles containing original contributions, excluding plagiarism, multiple editing, errors and scientific falsifications will be accepted for publication.

Organizing the review process:

The scientific journal Studia Universitatis Moldaviae follows the procedure of double review of all articles received by the editors.

The editorial board of each issue of the magazine is responsible for organizing the article review process.

The reviewers are selected from a register of the research board, which holds the scientific title of Doctor of Science or other documents confirming the title of qualified research specialist.

Reviewers assist the publisher in making the decision to approve articles for publication, with suggestions for improving the quality of articles or confirming compliance with all of their standards and ethical principles.

The review process is anonymous: the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers, and the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.

Each article received for review is treated as a confidential document.

Reviewers are not allowed to evaluate articles that could identify a potential conflict of interest, competitive connections or collaboration.

The information and ideas presented in the articles are treated confidentially without being used for the personal benefit of the reviewers.
